- When checking closed throttle position (idle) switch, if accelerator pedal is pressed, voltage should not be present on terminal No. 4 of cruise control unit. When accelerator pedal is released, 4.5-5.5 volts should be present on terminal No. 4 of cruise control unit.
- When checking throttle position sensor, if throttle valve is in idle position, .48-.72 volt should be present on terminal No. 5 of cruise control unit. When throttle valve is in wide open throttle position, 4.0-5.5 volts should be present on terminal No. 5 of cruise control unit. If circuit does not test correctly, replace switch or repair wiring harness as necessary.
