NOTE:
If no codes are present or ECS indicator does not light, proceed to SYSTEM TESTS (NO CODES).
Turn ignition on. ECS indicator should light either TOUR or SPORT mode. If ECS indicator light flashes, a malfunction has been detected and a trouble code has been stored. If indicator lights but does not flash, ECS system is okay.
NOTE:
Trouble codes can be retrieved using either Multi-Use Tester II (MB991501
) or voltmeter. Use Multi-Use Tester II (MUT-II
) to check service data and conduct actuator tests.
