Fuel System Pressure Release Test

CAUTION: Fuel pressure must be released before disconnecting any fuel system component. DO NOT allow fuel to flow onto warm engine or any electrical parts. DO NOT allow an open flame in area while testing fuel system components.
  1. Loosen fuel filler cap to release tank pressure. Disconnect injector wiring harness from engine harness. Connect a jumper wire between terminal No. 1 of appropriate injector harness and engine ground. Refer to Fig 1 to Fig 3 .
  2. Connect one end of a jumper wire to terminal No. 2 of appropriate injector harness. Touch other end of jumper wire to battery positive terminal for no more than 5 seconds. This releases system pressure. Remove jumper wires.
