- Loosen tension in throttle cable. Disconnect TPS connector. Connect a DVOM between Black/Yellow and Green/Black wires on TPS side of harness connector.
- Insert a .025" (.65 mm) feeler gauge between throttle valve adjustment screw and throttle lever. Loosen TPS adjustment screws. Turn TPS fully clockwise.
- DVOM should read continuity. Slowly turn TPS counterclockwise until DVOM reads no continuity. Tighten TPS adjustment screws. Connect TPS harness connector. Remove feeler gauge. When procedure is completed, refer to THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR (TPS) ADJUSTMENT in this article.
