1984-86 Models
Control relay is mounted above the ECU under instrument panel air duct.
1. Check continuity between terminals 1 and 7, then 3 and 7, Fig. 22. If continuity exists, control relay is defective. Replace control relay.
2. Apply battery voltage across terminals 8 and 4, Fig. 22, while testing continuity between terminals 3 and 7. If no continuity exists, control relay is defective.
3. Apply battery voltage across terminals 6 and 4, Fig. 22, while testing continuity between terminals 1 and 7. If no continuity exists, control relay is defective.
4. Apply battery voltage across terminals 5 and 2, Fig. 22, while testing continuity between terminals 1 and 7. If no continuity exists, control relay is defective.
