On some carbureted models, an EGR warning light on the dash will become illuminated at 50,000 miles to alert the driver to have EGR system inspected and/or serviced.
Following inspection and performance of any needed maintenance, reset mileage sensor. Reset switch is located on the back of instrument panel either to the left of or below speedometer cable junction, Fig. 11. Slide switch to the opposite position to reset sensor lamp.
