Fig. 32 Evaporator Core Replacement:
1. Disconnect battery ground cable, then discharge refrigerant from A/C system.
2. Disconnect liquid pipe and suction hose and cap fittings, then remove nut from evaporator.
3. Remove vacuum hose and grommet, then the glove box and under cover.
4. Remove lap heater and side console ducts, then lower glove box frame.
5. Remove defroster duct, then disconnect duct joint and drain hose.
6. Disconnect electrical connectors, then the vacuum hose.
7. Remove bolt, then the evaporator assembly.
8. Remove clips attaching case halves, then disconnect expansion valve flare nut and remove evaporator core from case.
9. Reverse procedure to install. Apply compressor oil to O-rings and expansion valve of evaporator assembly.
