Test 40A - Dimming Interior Displays

1984 Plymouth Horizon Base, 1.6 ASECTION Test 40A - Dimming Interior Displays

  1. Move dimmer control lever to center position. Ensure parking lamps are off. Using DRB, read park lamp switch status. If DRB displays STEP UP : OFF, go to TEST 40B. If DRB does not display STEP UP : OFF, go to next step.
  2. Turn park lamps on. If DRB does not display STEP UP : OFF, go to TEST 40C. If DRB displays STEP UP : OFF, go to next step.
  3. Using DRB, measure panel lamp sensor voltage. Move dimmer control lever from HIGH to LOW position. If DRB display changes between zero and 5 volts, go to TEST 40D. If DRB display does not change between zero and 5 volts, go to TEST 40E.
