Powertrain Control Module (PCM) supplies a 5-volt reference signal and a ground circuit to Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor. As manifold pressure changes, monitored MAP sensor signal voltage changes. MAP sensor signal voltage should be 1.0-1.5 volts at idle and 4.5-4.8 volts at Wide Open Throttle (WOT).

Conditions for setting DTC:

  • DTCs P0107, P0108, P0117, P0118, P0121, P0122, P0123, P0131, P0132, P0171, P0172, P0200, P0300, P0301, P0302, P0303, P0304, P0325, P0341, P0342, P0404, P0405, P0440, P0442, P0446, P0452, P0453, P0502, P0506, P0507, P0601, P0602 or P1442 not set.
  • Engine speed greater than 900 RPM.
  • Initial idle MAP greater than 60 kPa.
  • TP less than 50 percent and changes are greater than 8 percent.
