Instrument panel cluster may set Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) under certain conditions. These DTCs may be retrieved using a scan tool. Other conditions which may set a DTC is a loss of serial data communication with one or more modules on UART data line. See INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER (IPC) DTC DEFINITIONSΒ  table. These DTCs may be caused by an open or short in UART serial data line. See appropriate DTC diagnostic procedure.

When to See a Mechanic
