- Perform system check. See SYSTEM CHECK under SYSTEM TESTING. Go to next step.
- Disconnect Body Function Controller (BFC) connector C2 and PASSLock(R) lock cylinder connector. Using a DVOM, check voltage in Yellow wire between PASSLock(R) lock cylinder connector terminal "A" and ground. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If battery voltage is present, repair short to voltage in Yellow wire between BFC connector terminal B6 and PASSLock(R) connector C2 terminal "A". Clear DTCs from memory (refer to scan tool manufacturer's instructions) and go to SYSTEM CHECK in SYSTEM TESTING. If battery voltage is not present, go to next step.
- Using a DVOM, check resistance in Yellow wire between BFC connector C2 terminal B6 and PASSLock(R) connector terminal "A". If reading is 0-2 ohms, go to next step. If reading is not 0-2 ohms, repair open in Yellow wire as necessary. Clear DTCs from memory (refer to scan tool manufacturer's instructions) and go to SYSTEM CHECK in SYSTEM TESTING.
- Check for a poor connection at BFC connector C2 terminal B6 (Yellow wire) and at PASSLock(R) lock cylinder connector terminal "A" (Yellow wire). If a problem was found, repair connector terminal(s). Clear DTCs from memory (refer to scan tool manufacturer's instructions) and go to SYSTEM CHECK in SYSTEM TESTING. If no problem was found, go to next step.
- Replace PASSLock(R) cylinder and perform reprogramming procedure. See AUTO LEARN under PROGRAMMING. If problem is resolved, clear DTCs from memory (refer to scan tool manufacturer's instructions) and go to SYSTEM CHECK in SYSTEM TESTING. If problem still persists, replace BFC and perform reprogramming procedure. See REPROGRAMMING BFC in BODY CONTROL MODULE article. Clear DTCs from memory (refer to scan tool manufacturer's instructions) and go to SYSTEM CHECK in SYSTEM TESTING.
