A shorted sensor or potentiometer will be indicated by delivery of cold air (max. air conditioning) in the LO, HIGH or DEFROST position, regardless of temperature dial setting. Check sensor or potentiometer visually for indication of a short. Substitute a known good sensor or potentiometer in the wiring harness to check each individually.
