Diagnosis Procedure

2024 Nissan-Datsun Frontier SL, RWDSECTION Diagnosis Procedure
  1. CHECK POWER SOURCE 
      1. Ignition switch OFF.
      2. Disconnect BCM connector.
      3. Check voltage between BCM harness connector and ground while pressing the brake pedal.
        (+) (-) Condition Voltage (Approx.)
        BCM
        Connector Terminal
        M18 27 Ground Brake pedal depressed Battery voltage

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES>>

    GO TO 3.

    NO>>

    GO TO 2.

  2. CHECK STOP LAMPS 
    1. Do the stop lamps operate normally?

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES>>

    Check the following:

    • Harness between fuse block (J/B) and BCM
    • Fuse block (J/B)

    NO>>

    Refer to appropriate Wiring Diagram.

  3. CHECK HARNESS BETWEEN BCM AND A/T SHIFT SELECTOR 
      1. Disconnect A/T shift selector connector.
      2. Check continuity between BCM harness connector and A/T shift selector harness connector.
        BCM A/T shift selector Continuity
        Connector Terminal Connector Terminal
        M80 108 M156 6 Yes
      3. Check continuity between BCM harness connector and ground.
        BCM - Continuity
        Connector Terminal
        M80 108 Ground No

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES>>

    GO TO 4.

    NO>>

    Repair or replace harness or connector.

  4. CHECK GROUND CIRCUIT (A/T SHIFT SELECTOR) 
    1. Check continuity between A/T shift selector connector and ground.
      A/T shift selector - Continuity
      Connector Terminal
      M156 5 Ground Yes

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES>>

    Replace A/T shift selector. Refer to Removal and Installation .

    NO>>

    Repair or replace harness or connector.
