DTC DETECTION LOGIC 

DTC CONSULT screen terms (Trouble diagnosis content) DTC detecting condition
P1705 TP SENSOR (Throttle position sensor) Diagnosis condition When either of the following condition 1 or 2 is satisfied:
  1. Output speed sensor malfunction
  2. Vehicle speed (calculate from output speed sensor): 5 km/h (3 MPH) or more
Signal (terminal) Throttle position sensor signal
Threshold When either of the following condition 1, 2, or 3 is satisfied:
  1. Comparison between throttle signal and reversed throttle signal is not equal
  2. Lost communication with ECM is detected
  3. CAN bus off error is detected
Diagnosis delay time 5 seconds

POSSIBLE CAUSE 

  • Throttle position sensor
  • Harness or connector - (Throttle position sensor circuit is open or shorted) - (CAN communication line is open or shorted)
  • ECM

FAIL-SAFE 

Controlled with fixed throttle opening angle
