DTC CONSULT screen terms (Trouble diagnosis content) DTC detecting condition
P0716 INPUT SPEED SENSOR A (Input/Turbine Shaft Speed Sensor "A" Circuit Range/Performance) 1 Diagnosis condition When all of the following conditions are satisfied:
  • Shift position: D (clutch engaged state)
  • Shift state: Stationary state
  • Shift position select: Stationary state
  • Vehicle speed: 10 km/h (7 MPH) or more
  • Input speed: 300 RPM or more
  • Engine speed: 300 RPM or more
  • Input carrier speed: 300 RPM or more
  • Current gear position: 3rd - 7th
Signal (terminal) Input speed sensor signal
Threshold
  1. Current gear position: 5th - 7th. The ratio between the intended gear ratio and the calculated gear ratio: - 3% or less, 3% or more
  2. Current gear position: 3rd - 4th. The ratio between the intended gear ratio and the calculated gear ratio: - 5% or less, 5% or more
Diagnosis delay time Accumulated timer count (1 second x 5 times) *
2 Diagnosis condition When all of the following conditions are satisfied:
  • Shift position: D (clutch engaged state)
  • Shift state: Stationary state
  • Shift position select: Stationary state
  • Vehicle speed: 10 km/h (7 MPH) or more
  • Input speed: 300 RPM or more
  • Engine speed: 300 RPM or more
  • Intermediate shaft speed: 300 RPM or more
  • Lock-up target pressure: 0.76 MPa

3 Diagnosis condition When all of the following conditions are satisfied:

  • High clutch solenoid valve
  • Forward clutch solenoid valve
  • Direct clutch solenoid valve
  • Front brake solenoid valve
  • Mid brake solenoid valve
  • Low and reverse brake solenoid valve
  • Each clutch and brake
  • Output speed sensor
  • Input speed sensor
  • Control valve assembly (Hydraulic control circuit)

FAIL-SAFE 

Shifting is locked

NOTE: SYMBOL
  • While driving
    • Keeps the gear position when an abnormality is detected
  • When the vehicle is stopped
    • Locks in 4th gear position
