2024 Nissan-Datsun Frontier SL, RWDSECTION Electric Shift Warning

DESIGN/PURPOSE 

"Electric system warning" displays the driver that the A/T system/function is not normal or the A/T shift selector function is not normal.

Symbol Message Condition
SYMBOL When Parked. Apply Parking Brake A/T system or electric shift system has a malfunction.

SYNCHRONIZATION WITH MASTER WARNING LAMP 

Applicable

OPERATION AT COMBINATION METER CAN COMMUNICATION CUT-OFF OR UNUSUAL SIGNAL

SIGNAL PATH 

  • The TCM judges and decides condition of A/T system/function, according to signals received from each sensor and actuator.
  • When the A/T shift selector is not normal, it transmits a malfunction signal to the TCM via CAN communication.
  • When the display conditions of the "Electric shift warning" are satisfied, TCM transmits an electric shift warning display signal to the combination meter via CAN communication.
  • The combination meter displays "Electric shift warning" on the information display, according to the electric shift warning displays signal.

WARNING CONDITION 

When a malfunction is detected in the A/T system/function or the A/T shift selector function.

WARNING CANCEL CONDITION 

DTC erased
