Component Inspection
- CHECK INTAKE CAMSHAFT POSITION (CMP) SENSOR-IΒ
- Turn ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect intake CMP sensor harness connector.
- Remove the sensor. Refer to Removal and Installation .
- Visually check the sensor for chipping.
Is the inspection result normal?

Replace the malfunctioning intake CMP sensor. Refer to Removal and Installation .
- CHECK INTAKE CMP SENSOR-IIΒ
Check resistance intake CMP sensor terminals as follows.
Intake CMP sensor Condition Resistance Terminal (Polarity) 1 2 Temperature [Β°C (Β°F)] 25 (77) Except 0 or βΞ© 3 2 3 Is the inspection result normal?
