2024 Nissan-Datsun Frontier SL, RWDSECTION Diagnosis Procedure
  1. CHECK HILL DESCENT CONTROL SWITCH 
    1. Perform the hill descent control switch component inspection. Refer to Component Inspection .

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES>>

    GO TO 2.

    NO>>

    Replace hill descent control switch. Refer to Removal and Installation .

  2. CHECK HILL DESCENT CONTROL SWITCH HARNESS 
      1. Disconnect ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) connector.
      2. Check continuity between ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) harness connector and hill descent control switch harness connector.

        E127 43 M259 9 Yes
      3. Check continuity between ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) harness connector and ground.
        ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) - Continuity

        E127 43 Ground No

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES>>

    GO TO 3.

    NO>>

    Repair or replace harness.

  3. CHECK HILL DESCENT CONTROL SWITCH GROUND 
    1. Check continuity between hill descent control switch harness connector and ground.
      Hill descent control switch - Continuity
      Connector Terminal
      M259 6 Ground Yes

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES>>

    GO TO 4.

    NO>>

    Repair or replace harness.

  4. CHECK COMBINATION METER 
    1. Check if the indication and operation of combination meter are normal. Refer to On Board Diagnosis Function .

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES>>

    Replace ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit). Refer to Removal and Installation .

    NO>>

    Replace combination meter. Refer to Removal and Installation .
