Component Function Check
- CHECK FUEL TANK TEMPERATURE SENSOR
- Turn ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect "fuel level sensor unit and fuel pump" harness connector.
- Remove fuel level sensor unit. Refer to EXPLODED VIEW .
- Check resistance between "fuel level sensor unit and fuel pump" terminals by heating with hot water as shown in the figure below.

Is the inspection result normal?
YES: GO TO 2.
NO: Proceed to "DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE ".
- CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT
Check intermittent incident. Refer to INTERMITTENT INCIDENT .
Is the inspection result normal?
YES: INSPECTION END
NO: Proceed to "DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE ".

When to See a Mechanic
Stop DIY work and contact a certified mechanic immediately if any of the following apply:
