Fuel Pump
Disconnect fuel pump harness connector. For location, see FUEL PUMP HARNESS CONNECTOR LOCATIONS table. On Frontier 2.4L, measure resistance between fuel pump connector terminals No. 5 and 6. See Fig 1. On I30, Maxima and Sentra, measure resistance between fuel pump connector terminals No. 1 and 3. See Fig 2. On Quest, measure resistance between fuel pump connector terminals No. 2 and 3. See Fig 3. On all other models, measure resistance between fuel pump 2-pin connector terminals. On all models, resistance should be 0.2-5.0 ohms at 77°F (25°C). Replace fuel pump, if resistance is not as specified.

When to See a Mechanic
Stop DIY work and contact a certified mechanic immediately if any of the following apply:

- • Brakes feel soft, pull hard to one side, or make grinding noises.
- • The engine overheats, stalls repeatedly, or misfires under load.
- • You are missing required tools, torque specs, or safe lifting equipment.
