Diagnostic Procedure
2017 Mitsubishi RVR ES, Automatic CVT TransSECTION Diagnostic Procedure
- STEP 1. Check if the accelerator pedal is installed correctly.
Q: Is the accelerator pedal installed correctly?
- YES: Go to Step 2.
- NO: Remove and reinstall the accelerator pedal (Refer to ACCELERATOR PEDAL ). Then go to Step 3.
- STEP 2. Using scan tool MB991958, read the MFI system DTC. CAUTION: To prevent damage to scan tool MB991958, always turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" (OFF) position before connecting or disconnecting scan tool MB991958.
- Connect scan tool MB991958 to the data link connector (Refer to DIAGNOSTIC FUNCTION ) < 2.0L ENGINE > or (Refer to DIAGNOSTIC FUNCTION ) < 2.4L ENGINE >.
- Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position.
- Set scan tool MB991958 to check for MFI system DTC (Refer to DIAGNOSTIC FUNCTION ) < 2.0L ENGINE > or (Refer to DIAGNOSTIC FUNCTION ) < 2.4L ENGINE >.
Q: Is any DTC set?
- YES: Repair the MFI system (Refer to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART ) < 2.0L ENGINE > or (Refer to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART ) < 2.4L ENGINE >. Then go to Step 3.
- NO: Go to Step 3.
- STEP 3. Check the symptom.
Q: Does the accelerator pedal work normally?
- YES: The procedure is complete.
- NO: Return to Step 1.
