Stoplight Switch Check

2007 Mitsubishi Outlander LS, FWDSECTION Stoplight Switch Check
  1. Disconnect the connector.
  2. Check for continuity between the terminals of the switch.
    TERMINAL CONNECTOR TESTER CONDITION CHART

    Measurement condition Terminal connector of tester Specified condition
    When brake pedal is depressed. 1 - 2 (for stoplight switch) Continuity (less than 2 ohms)
    3 - 4 (for brake switch) Open circuit
    When brake pedal is not depressed. 1 - 2 (for stoplight switch) Open circuit
    3 - 4 (for brake switch) Continuity (less than 2 ohms)
