DTC Set Criteria
2001 Mitsubishi Montero XLSSECTION DTC Set Criteria
- Engine coolant temperature is 14-180°F (-10-82°C) when engine is started. Engine coolant temperature minus intake air temperature is 9°F (5°C) or less when engine is started. Intake air temperature has not dropped 3.6°F (2°C) or more since engine started. Volume airflow sensor output is 100 Hz or less for 300 seconds or less. Code will set when engine coolant temperature at engine start is 68°F (20°C) or more and it takes longer than 20 minutes for engine coolant temperature to increase to 180°F (82°C) or more.
- Same conditions as previously listed. Code will set when engine coolant temperature at engine start is less than 68°F (20°C) and it takes longer than 87 minutes for engine coolant temperature to increase to 180°F (82°C) or more.
