"2" Position Test

1995 Mitsubishi Montero LS, Automatic, V4AW3SECTION "2" Position Test

Shift transmission to "2" position. With accelerator pedal held at full throttle, check for proper 1-2 upshift at specified throttle positions. See Figure . While driving vehicle in 2nd gear, release accelerator and check engine braking effect. If engine braking does not exist, 2nd coast brake is defective.
