Direct Clutch: Disassembly
1995 Mitsubishi Montero LS, Automatic, V4AW3SECTION Disassembly
- Remove direct clutch drum from forward clutch assembly. Remove snap ring from clutch drum. Remove flange, discs and plates. Note number and location of components. Note location of all clutch pack components. See Figure .
- Using appropriate compressor, compress return spring assembly and remove snap ring. Place clutch drum on OD support and apply air pressure to piston supply port and remove clutch piston. See Figure .
