2019 Mini Cooper Base, 2D Convertible, Automatic TransSECTION Camera-based driver support systems (KAFAS)

Depending on the options fitted, various camera-based systems are available. Technically, the system is implemented with a joint camera and a joint control unit, the KAFAS control unit. The functions of the camera-based driver support systems are:

  • Lane departure warning
  • High-beam assistant
  • Road sign recognition Speed Limit Info)
  • New:Β  Collision warning
  • New:Β  Overtaking ban
NOTE: Optional equipment SA5AC high-beam assistant!

If the customer exclusively orders the high-beam assistant (SA5AC), the system is implemented with its own camera and its own control unit in the inside mirror.

  • High-Beam Assistant (not permitted in Japan)
  • Speed limit (Speed Limit Info)
  • Collision warning
  • Overtaking ban
  • New:Β  Urban traffic accident prevention
  • New:Β  Preventive pedestrian protection
  • New:Β  Traffic jam assistant, see dedicated functional description
NOTE: If the customer orders exclusively the high-beam assistant (5AC), the system is implemented with a camera and its own control unit in the inside mirror.

The speed limit and overtake warning functions are only available with the Professional navigation system.
