P0053 - HO2S HEATER RESISTANCE (BANK 1, SENSOR 1)

Description:  Heater current requirements too low or high in the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) heater control circuit.
Possible Causes: 
  • VPWR circuit open
  • HO2S heater circuit open
  • HO2S heater circuit short in the harness
  • Damaged HO2S heater
Diagnostic Aids:  Inspect the connectors for signs of damage, water ingress, or corrosion.
