Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor

















Removal

1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to Jacking and Lifting Service and Repair.

2. Disconnect the Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor electrical connector.

3. Remove the bolt and the CKP sensor.

Installation

1. Inspect the O-ring seal and install new as necessary.

2. NOTE: Lubricate the CKP sensor O-ring seal with clean engine oil.

Install the CKP sensor and bolt.

- Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).

3. Connect the CKP sensor electrical connector.

4. Using the scan tool, perform the Misfire Monitor Neutral Profile Correction procedure, following the on-screen instructions.
