- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING -- ESCAPE, ESCAPE HYBRID, MARINER & MARINER HYBRID .
- Remove the retainers and the LH splash shield.
- Disconnect the Turbine Shaft Speed (TSS) electrical connector, remove the bolt and the TSS sensor.
