Gearshift Cables: Removal

- Remove the heater core and evaporator core housing. For additional information, refer to CLIMATE CONTROL .
- Remove the battery and battery tray. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
- Disconnect the gearshift cables from the shift mechanism.
- Pull the spring clip out of the groove. Lift upward to rotate the clip 90 degrees.
CAUTION:
Carefully disconnect the spring clip, do not damage the spring clip.
