  • Smart junction box (SJB)
  • CONNECT the diagnostic tool. SELECT the instrument cluster warning lamps and chime active command and trigger the chimes on.
    • If the chimes do not sound, INSTALL a new instrument cluster. REFER to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION . TEST the system for normal operation.
    • If the chimes sound, INSTALL a new SJB. REFER to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION . TEST the system for normal operation.
  • The headlamps on warning chime is inoperative
  • Instrument cluster
  • CHECK the operation of the instrument cluster illumination.
    • If the instrument cluster illumination operates correctly, INSTALL a new instrument cluster. REFER to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION . TEST the system for normal operation.
    • If the instrument cluster illumination does not operate correctly, REFER to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER AND PANEL ILLUMINATION to continue diagnosis of the instrument cluster illumination.
  • The chime sounds when the driver door is ajar (no key in ignition and the headlamps off)
