Fire Suppression Module (FSM) Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Index
2010 Mercury Mariner Hybrid, AWDSECTION Fire Suppression Module (FSM) Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Index
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2006 Ford Crown Victoria. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE:
When the FSM detects a system fault, it causes the fire suppression system indicator to flash a coded sequence of lamp fault codes (LFC). The FSM is capable of communicating a LFC for each specific fault that is present, including each flagged fault of a bit-mapped diagnostic trouble code (DTC) (except for DTCs B1317 and B1318 for which the indicator remains lit continuously). The LFC is made up of 2 numbers. Each of the 2 numbers is 1 or 2 digits, depending on the fault that is present. The 2 numbers that make up a LFC are separated by a hyphen (-) to clearly distinguish between the 2 numbers. The first number is flashed with a 0.5-second interval between pulses. There is a 2-second pause before the second number is flashed, which also has a 0.5-second interval between pulses. There is a 5-second pause between each display of a LFC and each LFC is flashed 3 times after which the fire suppression system indicator remains lit for the remainder of the key-on cycle.
