U0294 - LOST COMMUNICATION WITH POWERTRAIN CONTROL MONITOR MODULE

Description:  The transaxle control module (TCM) continuously monitors the controller area network (CAN) for messages from the powertrain control module (PCM) quizzer. This DTC is set when the TCM stops receiving the PCM messages for a set amount of time.
Possible Causes: 
  • CAN circuit
Diagnostic Aids:  Network DTC concerns occur during module-to-module communication.
Refer to the MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK -- FUSION, MILAN & MKZ , Communication Network DTC Chart to continue diagnosis.
Application  Key On Engine Off  Key On Engine Running  Continuous Memory
