P0A44 - DRIVE MOTOR A POSITION SENSOR CIRCUIT OVERSPEED

Description:  Indicates the transaxle traction motor exceeded its calibrated maximum RPM limit.
Possible Causes: 
  • Vehicle overspeed condition
  • Damaged transaxle
  • Damaged transaxle control module (TCM)
Diagnostic Aids:  Road test the vehicle. The traction motor should not exceed 8,780 RPM at 109 km/h (68 mph).
Application  Key On Engine Off  Key On Engine Running  Continuous Memory 
All GO to PINPOINT TEST TP .
