P0A18 - MOTOR TORQUE SENSOR CIRCUIT RANGE/PERFORMANCE

Description:  The powertrain control module (PCM) checks the amount of the traction motor torque delivered, by monitoring the frequency of the torque of motor AC (TMAC) signal. This DTC indicates the TMAC signal is out of expected range.
Possible Causes: 
  • TMAC circuit open
  • TMAC circuit shorted to PWR or GND
Diagnostic Aids:  Monitor the PCM MTQ_OUT parameter identification (PID). The PID value should be 0 Nm (0 lb ft) in PARK or NEUTRAL if the brake pedal is not applied.
Application  Key On Engine Off  Key On Engine Running  Continuous Memory 
All GO to PINPOINT TEST TD .
