- If equipped, remove the luggage compartment lid motor. For additional information, refer to Luggage Compartment Lid MotorΒ .
- Open and support the luggage compartment lid in the full-open position.
- Move the end of the luggage compartment lid torsion bar to another position.
- Check the adjustment.
- Move the end of the luggage compartment lid torsion bar to another position.
- Check the adjustment.
- If equipped, install the luggage compartment lid motor. For additional information, refer to Luggage Compartment Lid MotorΒ .
- If equipped with a luggage compartment lid motor, carry out the initialization procedure. For additional information, refer to Luggage Compartment Lid Motor InitializationΒ .
NOTE:
The luggage compartment lid tension should be decreased if the luggage compartment lid opens with more force than desired. The luggage compartment lid tension should be increased if the luggage compartment lid opens with less force than desired.
WARNING:
Securely grasp the luggage compartment lid torsion bar while adjusting. The bar is under tension and could spring out unintentionally if it is not handled correctly. Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.
