a For a complete refill on Model 60 axles equipped with a limited slip differential, add 0.15L (6 oz.) of Additive Friction Modifier XL3 meeting Ford specification EST-M2C118-A to of lubricant. Model 70 axles equipped with a limited-slip differential have carbon-fiber clutch discs that do not require any friction modifier.
b For use in all limited-slip differentials. 2.8L (5.9 pt) in Model 60 axles, 3.1L (6.6 pt) in Model 70-2U axles and 3.9L (8.2 pt) in Model 70TR axles.
c For conventional 4:10 axles and axles subject to frequent trailer towing, particularly in a hot or hilly area, use Motorcraft SAE 75W-140 Synthetic Rear Axle Lubricant XY-75W140-QL meeting Ford specification WSP-M2C192-A.
