Gearshift Lever: Installation

- Position the gearshift lever assembly in the vehicle.
- Install the 4 gearshift lever nuts.
- Tighten to 23 Nm (17 lb-ft).
- Connect the selector cable.
- Connect the shift cable.
- Tighten the nut to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).
- Adjust the gearshift cables. For additional information, refer to MANUAL TRANSAXLE/TRANSMISSION AND CLUTCH - GENERAL INFORMATION article.
- Position the console and install the 2 console screws to the shifter base.
- Install the 2 front console center bolts and then install the 2 rear side console bolts.
