2009 Mercury Milan Premier, 3.0 1, AWDSECTION Removal And Installation

  1. Remove the steering wheel. For additional information, refer to STEERING COLUMN article.
  2. Remove the 2 bolts and the lower steering column shroud.
  3. NOTE: Vehicles with a steering column shift are shown; the floor console shift is similar.
  4. Remove the ignition lock cylinder cover.
  5. Disconnect the PATS transceiver electrical connector.
  6. Remove the screw and the PATS transceiver.
  7. NOTE: Replacement of the PATS transceiver does not require the PATS keys to be programmed into the powertrain control module (PCM) again.
  8. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
