  • The Brake Shift Interlock Actuator (BSIA) system does not release/lock correctly

  • Lighting Control Module (LCM)
  • Go to Pinpoint Test A  .
  • The selector lever is out of correct gear relationship
  • Selector lever component(s)
  • Internal transmission component(s)
  • Go to Pinpoint Test B  .
  • The selector lever indicator does not correspond to the gear
  • Selector lever indicator adjustment
  • CHECK that the selector lever indicator adjustment is correct. REFER to Selector Lever Indicator Adjustment . ADJUST the selector lever indicator if necessary. TEST the system for normal operation. If the condition persists, go to Pinpoint Test B  .
  • The selector lever linkage is binding or will not move
  • Selector lever component(s)
  • Internal transmission component(s)
  • Go to Pinpoint Test C  .
  • The selector lever indicator does not illuminate
  • Instrument Cluster (IC)
  • The Transmission Control Switch (TCS) does not operate correctly
  • TCS not cycled during self-test
  • Fuse 8 (10A)
  • TCS
  • Circuit(s)
  • PCM
  • IC
  • Go to Pinpoint Test D  .
  • The Transmission Control Indicator Lamp (TCIL) does not illuminate
  • IC

  • The TCIL is illuminated continuously

  • Water enters inside the vehicle
  • Selector lever cable rubber grommet
  • SECURE the grommet to the bulkhead.
