  • The courtesy lamps flash on and off
  • The Smart Junction Box (SJB) is not configured correctly.
  • CONFIGURE the SJB  . REFER to GENERAL PROCEDURES . TEST the system for normal operation.
  • The courtesy lamps do not illuminate with a door open
  • Wiring, terminals or connectors
  • Door ajar switch (integrated into the door latch)
  • Instrument panel dimmer switch
  • SJB 
  • The courtesy lamps do not illuminate when using the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter
  • Wiring, terminals or connectors

  • OPEN a door and OBSERVE the courtesy lamps.
    • If the courtesy lamps do not turn on with a door open, GO to PINPOINT TEST A .
    • If the courtesy lamps turn on with a door open, INSTALL a new SJB  . REFER to SMART JUNCTION BOX (SJB) . TEST the system for normal operation.
  • The courtesy lamps do not illuminate with the liftgate or liftgate window open
  • Wiring, terminals or connectors
  • Liftgate ajar switch (integrated into the liftgate latch)
  • Liftgate window ajar switch (integrated into the liftgate window latch)
  • SJB 
  • The courtesy lamps do not illuminate from the instrument panel dimmer switch
