Ford Motor Company recommends use of an R-134a Refrigerant Management Machine to carry out evacuation of the refrigerant system. If an R-134a Refrigerant Management Machine is not available, refrigerant system evacuation may be accomplished using a separate Vacuum Pump and R-134a Manifold Gauge Set.
