TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE (TCM) DTC CHART

DTC Description Action
P1260 Theft Detected, Vehicle Immobilized If there are any PATS DTCs present in the IC, ADDRESS them first. REFER to the DTC CHARTSΒ . This DTC can also indicate a Controller Area Network (CAN) or a parameter reset concern. Be sure to verify if there are any communication concerns/DTCs with any modules. REFER to MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK . If DTC P1260 is the only DTC present, there can be a parameter reset concern, an intermittent power or ground concern with the Transmission Control Module (TCM). REFER to PASSIVE ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM (PATS) PARAMETER RESETΒ . If necessary, CHECK the powers and ground to the TCM and PCM. REFER to the appropriate Systems Wiring Diagram to determine the power and ground circuits.
