Rear Leaf Spring: Removal

2001 Mercury Villager BaseSECTION Removal
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Remove the U-bolt nuts. Remove the U-bolts. Remove the U-bolt alignment plate. See Fig 1 .

  2. Remove the rear leaf spring shackle nuts. Remove the rear leaf spring shackle end plate. Remove the rear leaf spring shackle. See Fig 2 .

  3. Remove the rear leaf spring front nut and bolt. Remove the rear leaf spring. See Fig 3 .
