2001 Mercury Villager BaseSECTION Removal (3.8L)
- Remove cowl. Remove air cleaner outlet tube. Disconnect accelerator and speed control cables. Position accelerator cable bracket aside. Disconnect Idle Air Control (IAC) valve and Throttle Position (TP) sensor connectors. Disconnect evaporative emission return tube. Remove fuel line retaining clip and wire harness retainers. Disconnect brake booster vacuum hose. Disconnect electronic vacuum regulator connectors. Disconnect all vacuum hoses.
- Disconnect EGR sensor, PCV hose, and spark plug wires. Remove upper intake manifold bolts. Remove upper intake manifold. Remove upper intake manifold spacer.
