2001 Mercury Sable LS, 4D Sedan, 3.0 U, AX4SSECTION Testing Procedure

Two warning lights (ANTI-LOCK and BRAKE) alert vehicle operator of problems in braking system. Red BRAKE warning light monitors master cylinder fluid level and parking brake lever status. Amber ANTI-LOCK warning light alerts vehicle operator to problems in ABS system.

When trouble shooting ABS system, use test procedures in order they are presented. Using other than recommended procedure could result in wasted time and/or unnecessary replacement of parts.
