NOTE: Transmission control switch and gearshift lever are one assembly and must be replaced together.

Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove 4 screws retaining lower steering column shroud and remove cover. Remove electrical connector to transmission control switch. Disconnect overdrive switch wiring clip. Remove snap ring from gearshift lever and remove handle and control switch assembly. To install, reverse removal procedure.
