  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove air cleaner outlet tube. Disconnect accelerator cable, cruise control cable and return spring from throttle body. Remove bolts retaining accelerator and cruise control cables to bracket. Disconnect clip and position cables aside. Disconnect TP sensor electrical connector.
  2. Disconnect EVAP return hose from throttle body assembly. Disconnect Idle Air Control (IAC) valve and Differential Pressure Feedback EGR (DPFE) electrical connectors. Disconnect main chassis vacuum supply line and EGR vacuum line. Disconnect DPFE hoses. Disconnect EGR valve-to-exhaust manifold tube from EGR valve.
  3. Disconnect electrical connector and vacuum lines from EGR vacuum regulator solenoid. Remove PCV valve and tube as an assembly. Remove upper intake manifold bolts in sequence. See Figure. Remove upper intake manifold and discard upper intake manifold gasket. Inspect and clean sealing surfaces.
