NOTE: Spare key programming switch is not a visible mechanical switch. A NGS tester is necessary to enable and disable this switch. The state of this switch can be viewed by accessing PCM PID SPARE_KY with NGS tester.

Insert a programmed ignition key into ignition switch. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Connect NGS tester to Data Link Connector (DLC). Insert Ford Service Function (FSF) card into NGS tester. Obtain security access. See SECURITY ACCESSΒ  . Using NGS tester, toggle SPARE KEY PROGRAMMING SWITCH to desired position.
