Transmitter Programming

2000 Mercury Mystique GS, 2.0 3, AutomaticSECTION Transmitter Programming
NOTE: To enter programming mode, ensure battery is fully charged and anti-theft system (if equipped) is not armed or triggered. Up to 4 transmitters may be programmed.

Locate programming 2-pin connector, behind glove box, near central locking module. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Momentarily jumper 2-pin connector. Horn should sound to confirm program mode activation. Press any button on transmitter. Horn should sound to confirm transmitter code was received. For each additional transmitter, press any button to add. After all transmitters have been programmed, turn ignition off. Horn will sound once again to confirm program mode exit.
